Morning everyone,
I have just posted this on my socials and wanted to share with existing subscribers. Next email will land on 1st February. Happy Sunday!
I am so excited to launch ‘Expression with Fiona English’, a Substack publication to inspire you to express your whole self and amplify your impact in the world.
Expression consists of personal reflections on life and broader social matters. For me, personal issues and social issues are related topics. The real purpose of personal development or spiritual growth is not simply to enhance your life but to enable you to impact yourself, others and our world in a more meaningful way. The key to living and working ‘on purpose' is to fully express all of who you are and can be. Your life, work or business simply provide the vehicles through which you express your whole self. Living a fully expressed life matters. There is a space in the universal jigsaw that your fully expressed form fits. Things you are here to contribute. It is the call of our time; to evoke your inner leader and become who you are destined to be in service of a better world. My hope is that ‘Expression with Fiona English’ will provide you with content and community to support you on that personal journey.
Why a publication?
One word - impact. I have a vision for my work. I want to create a body of work which is thought provoking, challenging and inspiring. Equally I want to house that work in a way that is accessible; where price is not a barrier and for it not to be subject to the growing dance of social media algorithms. Accessibility matters to me. Not everyone has a seat in rooms I speak in and not everyone has the time or resources to avail of coaching. I wanted to create a more accessible offering where I can reach and share ideas freely with anyone who chooses to read them.
Expression is also as much for myself as it is an offering to everyone else. A question I often ask audiences I speak to is ‘who do you want to be in the world?’ We create a new world not simply by what we do but by who we become. It is a question I continually ask of myself. I want to be the person who uses her talents and privilege to benefit others. Expressing my ideas, having the courage to be disruptive of the status quo in that work and sharing my personal struggles as I do is very much part of my journey. ‘Expression’ is my stake in the ground. My commitment to the person I aspire to be and my insistence we can have a better world by each of us first deciding we can be better. It is my way of holding myself accountable to that ideal.
This is just the beginning; as the year progresses, I will be hosting community calls, virtual keynotes and adding guest contributors.
I look forward to sharing all this
with you.
