Every year I choose a word to guide my year — a way of being in the world I want to embody more. When I first started, it was an active practice for me. I would set aside time and journal on wishes, words, and ideas to see what wanted to come out. In recent years, perhaps as I am increasingly connected to my inner self, the word has started arriving. Intuitively, I know what my word should be. For 2025, it is Bloom.
